The tutor

Reuel — teaching Physics from scratch.

The name is the method. If a student cannot explain a topic from first principles, we go back to the idea that makes everything else make sense — then build the exam technique on top.

Background

Reuel holds an MSci in Theoretical Physics and has taught A-level Physics for 11 years. He currently teaches at one of the UK’s top-performing independent schools.

In 2023, 70% of his students achieved A or A*. Many have gone on to Cambridge, Oxford, Imperial and other leading universities.

He tutors AQA, Edexcel and OCR, with IB on the roadmap. Sessions are 1-to-1 and online — designed for ambitious students in the UK, the UAE, and further afield.

How he teaches

First principles

Abstract ideas are rebuilt from what the student already understands, not from a script of memorised lines.

Exam-board precision

Mark schemes, required practicals and paper styles differ. Lessons match AQA, Edexcel or OCR as they actually examine.

Critical thinking

Students learn to deconstruct unfamiliar problems — the skill that separates an A from an A*.
